Blue Jay

Blue Jays are one of the most vocal birds around the yard! They are mostly blue in color with other patterns of white and black. The wing feathers almost look like stained glass! They often get a bad reputation as being a “mean bird” they do have their role to play, often being the bird to warn the others when danger is present. They also have the ability to mimic many different bird sounds, including the screech of a hawk. Blue Jays do not migrate and can be seen year-round.
